About Us
Our Story
My herbal story started when I was a little girl.
I was so drawn to nature and all her wonder.
I would spend hours playing in mine or my Nana’s yard, making a home in the garden, using branches to sweep, mixing ingredients to make meals and potions. I spent my days listening and being with the trees, the animals, the plants, the rocks, and all of nature.
As I grew up, I slowly became more involved in everyday life and earned my bachelor’s degree in Child Development, specializing in child life and my master’s degree in Applied Healing Arts. I became a Certified Child Life Specialist in addition to being a wife and mom. In 2018, I was introduced to an herbal book that changed my life and introduced me to my herbal teacher, Sage Mauer, founder of The Gaia School of Healing.
My journey back to nature began.
Since then, I have expanded my studies with my teacher in Ireland, Tonja Reichley, with Dancing With the Wild. My journey back to nature led me to herbal medicine. Along the way, I discovered that what started as a personal healing and passion was becoming my life’s work to help others reconnect with the Earth and embrace herbal wellness.
What began as a personal passion has gradually blossomed into Taylor’s Medicinal Garden. My journey started by crafting herbal medicines for myself and my family, then naturally expanding to helping friends, and now I am honored to share these gifts with my community.
Through handcrafted tinctures, infused oils, herbal essences, herbal classes, and ceremony, my mission is to empower others to reconnect with the healing wisdom of plants and cultivate confidence in caring for themselves and their families and friends through herbal wellness.
Our Philosophy
At Taylor’s Medicinal Garden, I believe herbal wellness is more than a practice - it is a way of life and a sacred relationship with the Earth. Through guidance and a deep calling, I have been led to the path of spiritual herbalism, reconnecting me with the wisdom, traditions, and healing practices of my ancestors. The plants remind us that the Earth provides what we need to nourish, restore, and thrive through listening with gratitude and respect.
My passion is to help others rediscover their own ancestral roots, reconnect with the healing knowledge passed down through generations, and cultivate meaningful relationships with the plants that grow around us. By embracing herbal wellness as part of our everyday lives, we honor the gifts of the Earth while creating healthier, connected lives for ourselves, our families, and our communities.
At Taylor’s Medicinal Garden, my hope is to inspire others to slow down, connect with nature, and reconnect with the healing of the Earth through the plants and the wisdom we carry within us.
